So... This is it.

Bienvenue. It's been a long time since I've written anything online that was intended for people to even glimpse at. But here it is. I received encouragement from my friend and co-worker who's taken on the mighty ambition of working on not one, but three (!) blogs. Amazing.

Mine, however, I plan on keeping pretty simple. For I lead a pretty simple life. Looking back, I've found my previous blog to be so young and amusing. Here's hoping that this won't be the same.

This will be a little cross-section of my life. A project blog, of sorts, because I love my projects. I love cooking, have recently learned how to knit (and now knit like a mad woman), and have somewhat-recently moved back into my parents... The revamping of my room itself is a project all on its own.

What of the name? The name of this blog is derived from linguistic terms. (I love linguistics.) In linguistic terms, a mora is a unit which makes up a syllable. A bimoraic syllable is composed of two morae. And a mora can be broken up into smaller pieces, but we won't get into that.

I've taken the idea of a mora with some poetic license and used it in a way to compare my life to one long string of language. There are bits and pieces of my life and there are bits and pieces of language which shape us. So, I'm hoping here to write a little about the bits and pieces that make up my simple existence.

Merci et bonsoir. A retour.

P.S. First posts... Hawkward.
